The substantial welcome basket of Hawaiian fruits and treats was much appreciated. The house has excellent breezes and the windows really take advantage of that. We loved eating breakfast on the outdoor table on the porch. Lanikai has a great biking/ walking path along the road. The house itself was ok, but it sits very close to the neighboring house and they were extremely loud very early in the morning. It almost seemed that they were being extra loud on purpose at 6:30am, so a restful sleep was not possible. Also, the house sits right on a very busy road. Never the less, the area is so beautiful that we had a wonderful time overall, and if you don't mind noise then this rental is fine. The Lanikai location is great - a bit of a long walk to the great beaches, but an easy drive. Place in need of an update in appliances. The furniture in the living room is some of the most uncomfortable furniture I have ever sat on. Location is the bonus for this place. It was clean and for the most part as quiet as you can find in Hawaii. It's usable though, and great location adjacent to beach. Very loud neighbors, especially at night (complete with barking dog). Should have shopped around more, but didn't have time at the time. Enjoyed our stay, but nothing ultra-fantastic.
