We were stay at Waimanalo again. it is more clean and some renew. We had a very good time to stay , enjoy ocean experience.
We had a lovely time, the house is one of the only things you can say is better in real life than in pictures! If we fly back from Spain(we now life in Spain), we definitely will stay at Waimanalo Hale. The best place.
Hi - we really liked Waimanalo Hale. The location was great for us - we didn't want to be in Honolulu or any town really. We are from a city and so used to locking up, and never felt unsafe. We did not miss being on the beaches with all the other tourists, prefering our private pool and loved our 'private' rocky beach and took walks along it. The house is beautiful and suited us, we were two families, with all its living spaces and the outside. It was clean and the housekeepers were very helpful (thanks for the sugar!). Our only negative were the furnishings and general decor of the three guest bedrooms - they really aren't up to the rest of the house. And we would suggest that the front bedroom(1) and the back bedroom(3) on that side be outfitted with new twin beds, but with either the option of twin bed sheets or King sheets - with a mattress cover to bring the beds together. This would be much more inviting for couples, but still allow flexibility. Also the back bedroom's (3) bathroom needs some attention. Carrie and everyone from Trinity Properties were wonderful as well. We had a great vacation. Thanks, Jane Daniels and David Calhoun and Annie and Grace
It was a bit hard to find a house but location, house itself and view were just gorgeous! We,from NJ and other 3 families were from JP met in the middle there in Hawaii for my Dad 70's BD,and all satisfied and had a great time together! Only one thing I would suggest is AC condition, although we didn't really need it used. Love to stay once again!
This property exceeded all our expectations, even though we had seen the beautiful photos! It is a spectacular place with a glorious view, gentle breezes, and a secluded location. Its unique, spacious design provided our family of ten (6 adults, 4 children) freedom, comfort, and privacy. In a word, it was enchanting, and we hope to return someday... Many thanks to Trinity Properties for their exceptionally attentive service!
Stunningly beautiful house in perfect condition - well represented by the website. We were told in advance that the beach was small and covered at high tide so we hung out in the pool to cool off. The master bedroom has a balcony with a perfect view of Rabbit Island sunrises. We truly enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of the thundering waves. We had a group of nine people who stayed very comfortably with plenty of privacy. We would highly recommend this gorgeous house and miss being there already!
Waimanalo Villa is in an excellent location and is beautiful! It is right on the water with a little beach for kids to play on. The house has a lot of space for everyone and views from every window. The driveway is not the easiest to get out of since it is right on the highway, but the location is great for getting to Oahu's attractions.
Our group of seven was very comfortable here and the house was beautiful. Everything worked and the people at Trinity Properties were anxious to make sure we were well cared for. This was a wonderful place to relax and listen to the ocean.
Wonderful location... manager was very helpful.
.....It was perfect.
This extraordinary property in Oahu's horse country is breathtakingly situated between soaring cliffs and the turquoise waters fronting Waimanalo. The spacious home boasts an impressive view from the living area (bedrooms have ocean views, as well), and the Pacific laps amazingly beneath the pool area. Excellent snorkeling waters provide regular opportunity for interaction with local denizens including graceful sea turtles, which are found in abundance. Waimanalo Villa is located within minutes of many activities including surfing, hikes, shopping, the beautiful Hanauma Bay, and the always enjoyable Sea Life Park, where visitors can get up close and personal with dolphins and sea lions (we did!). Our family thoroughly enjoyed this unbelievably beautiful and comfortable home and also appreciated its privacy--we almost exclusively had the entire beach frontage and waters to ourselves. We all hope to return to the paradise that is the wonderful Waimanalo Villa some day soon.
We had a truly awesome experience staying here as a group. There were 8 of us and the house, pool, and beach were really wonderful. We had an excellent time snorkeling right in front of the house in the ocean there and were able to see all kinds of sea life and turtles. The pool was a little chilly, but refreshing once you got in. Overall, the house was great, but the beds really need to be upgraded. Most of the people in the group really didn't like the comfort of the mattresses. Trinity Properties was very helpful when any issues or questions came up and quick to try and help resolve things ASAP. We would stay here again, especially if the mattresses were upgraded ;)
I wanted to have followings. - Closer Shopping zone. - Bigger fridge. - A kettle. - More Towels.
Although dated, needing maintenance and a good scrubbing, Waimanalo Hale does have a fantastic view of the ocean. Our children spent hours every day in the pool or on the rocky beach. The many bedrooms and large living area were perfect for large groups. This is not a luxury rental but is comfortable and spacious with an unsurpassed view.
amazing location, view and environment. The ouse condition is not very good. but we can use. linen, towel and some equipment is not clean. little more spend money or time for this property, can get more good.
Strengths: - Great property, in a great location with wonderful views, very dramatic entrance and floor plan. Overall, a great place to stay that we would love to come back to (who wouldn't want to revisit paradise) - Inside is all tile or hard wood so gives a nice feel - Great size house on the inside with lots of features - Private pool overlooking the ocean was fantastic to have and enjoyed by all - Floor to ceiling windows (20+ feet) let you appreciate amazing views. We could see "sea turtles" in the ocean while sitting and playing cards at the game table - Koi pond right off the inside porch was really neat - Basic soap, toilet paper, tissue, towels, etc. was provided - Welcome basket was nice to have and enjoyed by all - Dishes and silverware all provided as well as some basic items, i.e. salt, sugar, cooking oil - Property manager met us at the house at 11pm at night, very nice of them to show us around at that late hour. Opportunities: - Have daily or "every other day" cleaning service provided. When paying $700 charge for cleaning, would expect to have some sort of maid or cleaning service provided during the stay, not just when we leave. - Have pool cleaning service. We were told that pool cleaner comes out 1x/week on Thursdays. No one came the week we were there and pool was dirty by the time we left and not all that clean once we got there. - Improve quality of beds. Beds weren't very good quality, not at all supportive and need upgrading. - Instead of 1 king bed and 10 twins, put in a few more king and queen beds in place of the twins. - The room above the master bedroom was not occupied as it was way too hot in there. Other rooms have AC, should have one in there also to make it usable...otherwise, it is really more of a 4 bedroom than 5 bedroom. - The day we arrived, the trash was overfilling in the cans outside the house and took a couple days to get cleaned
The property needs to be renovated. There was a mouse and lots of ants when we stayed there and the pool was very cloudy so we didn't get the full use of the pool during our stay. The house was beautiful and view was great though.
Views are spectacular. Parking and access from highway is awful. No air conditioning in common areas. (Was told the home was "air conditioned", but no one mentioned this only applied to bedrooms.) Multiple windows rusted shut prevented adequate cross ventilation in lieu of AC. Pool in need repair when we arrived.
Thank you for your feedback, Lori! To respond, there is parking is in the driveway which holds 2 cars. There is a garage but it is not available as it is used by the owner as storage. The pool has since been looked at and is now in good repair. All bedrooms have a/c so the windows shouldn't be opened, although most windows were changed out recently but some still stick. We appreciate your feedback as it has helped us better address the needs of our future guests. We would love to have you back to re-experience this lovely home which you have helped to improve, or any other of our Trinity properties.
The sun never hit the pool the entire time so we were unable to use it at all. The floors got dirty easily and there was no vacuum cleaner or mop-it took 2 days to have one delivered. The lighting at night was not good and a number of the light bulbs didn't work. One of the drawers in the refrigerator was broken from the beginning. The listed address was incorrect so it took quite some time to find the property. Garbage facilities were inadequate for our family. The dishwasher front panel rubs against the edges of the cabinet creating a constant pile of sawdust below. Most of the doors on the ground floor are difficult to lock.Backing out of the parking space is very dangerous. The second bedroom on the left side has a closet door that doesn't close. Overall, we were extremely disappointed given the rent we paid and suggest some serious reviews take place to make this more enjoyable.
